Tokio Hotel is currently the most internationally successful German band! The four men from Magdeburg immediately captivate audiences worldwide with their authentic sound and with their distinctive charisma. At the age of just 15, they came from nowhere to reach number one in the charts with their first single "Durch den Monsun" (Through the Monsoon). Just three years later, with their two released albums to date they have notched up gold and platinum sales respectively across the whole of Europe, and have played three sold-out European headlining tours.
Since the start of the year the rock band has also been making successful inroads into America. There, Bill (19), Tom (19), Gustav (20) and Georg (20) recently received the award for Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, and in Mexico they won four of the much-coveted MTV Latin Awards.
Currently the band is working on its long-awaited third studio album, which will be released at the start of 2009 in German and English.
