É definitivamente o ano da consagração para os Tokio Hotel! Os prémios MTV nos Estados Unidos e na Europa vêm comprovar isso mesmo, levando para casa os prémios de Melhor Astista Novo e ainda para Cabeça de Cartaz, respectivamente. Apesar de toda a fama Bill Kaulitz, vocalista da banda, revela humildemente que se mantém o mesmo rapaz antes do sucesso e nem a recente homenagem com uma estátua de cera na colecção do museu Madame Tussauds em Berlim, o faz mudar de ideias. Sobre o facto de a sua imagem em cera necessitar de cuidados especiais, nomeadamente retoques regulares na maquilhagem e penteado, devido à quantidade de fãs que são esperados diariamente, nada tem a dizer.
Estivemos à conversa com a banda antes da partida para os Estados Unidos, o seu grande objectivo para o final deste ano. “Os fãs americanos são muito importantes para nós”, revelam-nos. Em jeito de antecipação o irmão do vocalista da banda, Tom Kaulitz, diz-nos que 2009 vai ser o ano do lançamento de um novo trabalho. Com o título provisório de “You Did It!”, este álbum promete não decepcionar todos os admiradores dos Tokio Hotel. Lá para o final da entrevista perguntámos o que gostariam de receber pelo Natal. A resposta foi enigmática: “O Natal não é para meninos!”. Quem fala assim não é gago…
